Did Donald Trump Just Go Too Far?
Presidential candidate Donald Trump is exchanging
a war of words with 2008 Republican presidential nominee John
McCain. McCain, as most people know was a prisoner of war in Vietnam, has been critical of the Trump campaign, saying that it had “fired
up the crazies.”
And now Donald Trump
has gone on the attack against McCain that could cause other
Republicans to denounce him. While Trump was campaigning in Ames, Iowa, the
billionaire real estate mogul told a crowd he
was no supporter of 2008 Republican presidential nominee John
“He is not a war hero," Trump said.
"He was a war hero because he was captured,” Trump continued.
“I like people who weren’t captured...”
Trump was already in hot water for controversial
remarks calling Mexican immigrants “rapists” and
his claim "...the illegals come in, and the illegals kill..."
Trump’s critique of McCain may cause other members of his party
to distance themselves from 'The Donald.'
Trump has already tried to backpedal on his
comments about McCain by saying on Twitter, "captured or not,
all our soldiers are heroes!"
Do you think this will hurt Donald Trump's bid
for the U.S. Presidency?
