Donald Trump's Slam on Megyn Kelly Backfires

Donald Trump isn't slowing down with controversial remarks.  His latest is so alarming that he's been disinvited from a conservative gathering Saturday in Atlanta.

Trump made disparaging comments about Fox News' Megyn Kelly, who moderated a GOP presidential candidate debate Thursday night.

The 'Donald' was unhappy that Kelly pressed him about the "misogynistic, sexist comments" he made in the past, such as calling some women "fat pigs, dogs, slobs, and disgusting animals."

Trump slammed Kelly on CNN, saying her questions were "ridiculous" and "off-base" for a political debate.

"You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes," Trump said. "Blood coming out of her wherever."

According to Erick Erickson, editor of RedState.com, that remark crossed the line.  Erickson dumped Trump from the RedState Conservative Gathering, an event featuring GOP presidential hopefuls this weekend in Atlanta.  Trump was planning to give the keynote speech tonight.

Erickson says that it's ok to be a blunt talker, but decency is one of those lines that shouldn't be crossed.

But Trump, never one to back down, fire back that "...this is just another example of weakness through being politically correct...Erick Erickson is a weak and pathetic leader...Megyn Kelly is a lightweight.

Should Donald Trump tone things down or keep at it?
