F-16 Jet Collides With a Private Plane in Mid-Air

The FAA has confirmed that an F-16 jet collided with a Cessna C-150 plane in mid-air.  Both planes have crashed in Moncks Corner, South Carolina north of Charleston.

The local county Fire Department also has confirmed that a pilot ejected from the F-16, but a search is currently underway to locate him.

Rescue swimmers have been sent into a nearby body of water where the Cessna's fuselage turned up.

The South Carolina Air National Guard stated that the downed F-16 fighter jet was not one of theirs.

This story is still developing.
